A PETROLEUM DEPENDENCE

  • Imported petroleum has doubled resulting in local premiums increasing by 19% due to higher source costs related to out-of-state transportation
If current trends continue without ramp-up of renewables, Californians will be entirely reliant on imported petroleum by 2032 and pay 70% more than the national average

The 2023 model predicts a continued shortfall of renewables to meet our energy needs well into the future.
